This course allows PADI Divemasters to gain the required knowledge to teach independently a variety of courses & specialty courses.

 

The Assistant Instructor course also allows PADI Divemasters going towards PADI Instructor rating to do this course as an intermediate step thus reducing the workload, time and cost. By splitting the Instructor course in two, the AI course becomes a more enjoyable journey of learning and discovery. After completion it also gives you the opportunity to apply the gained knowledge and to make it far more relevant when enrolling in the OWSI or second part of the PADI IDC Instructor program.

 

This course is typically run over 4 days and with a minimum of 4 confined and 2 open water sessions.

Main Prerequisites

  • PADI Divemaster or qualifying certification from another training organisation

  • Certified Diver for at least six months

  • 60 logged dives
